Improper Wound Care

If a resident is suffering from a bedsore or pressure ulcer nursing home staff should follow protocol for elder wound care. The patient should be temporarily kept in positions that allow for the least amount of pressure upon the elder wound. Improper wound care occurs when the staff have not followed the protocol.
